BMW electric cars BMW 225xe and BMW 330e
Will the BMW electric cars reach same performances as the previous BMW models? BMW continues to electrify its cars and BMW 225xe and BMW 330e are two of them. BMW 225xe has an 1.5 liters gasoline engine, which deliver its power to the front wheels through an automatic 6-speed gearbox. The second engine it’s placed on the rear deck and is an electric engine which deliver its power to the rear wheels. BMW 225xe has integral traction and is capable of 224 HP and has a torque of 385 Nm. The gasoline engine provides 136 HP and the electric engine provides 88HP.
BMW electric cars – BMW225XE features
Having such features like other BMW electric cars BMW 225xe meets BMW standards. BMW 225xe reaches 100 km/h in 6.7 s and the maximum speed is 202 km/h in hybrid version and in electric version the maximum speed is limited to 125 km/h. The battery offers a max autonomy of 41 km in full electric mode. From an average home plug recharging lasts around 3 hours and 15 minutes and through the BMW i Wallbox system a full recharge will last 2 hours and 15 minutes. In hybrid mode for the first 100 km the average gasoline consumption is between 2.0 and 2.1 l/100km but this happens only if at the begining of the trip the battery is fully charged.
BMW electric cars – BMW 330e features
BMW 330e is the plug-in hybrid version of the already well known 3 series sedan. BMW 330e has a 2.0 gasoline engine which is capable of 184 HP and a torque of 214 Nm. The second engine provides 88 HP like the electric engine from the BMW 225xe. Unlinke the BMW 225xe, BMW 330e has the electric engine placed before the automatic gear box and so the gear box is beeing used by the both engines. BMW 330e has a total power of 252 HP, the sprint from 0 to 100 km/h lasts 6.1 seconds and the maximum speed is 225 km/h in hybrid mode. The average fuel consumption is placed between 1.9 liters and 2.1 liters in hybrid mode. In full electric mode the maximum speed is 120 km/h.
Like at the BMW 225xe the battery recharging time and the max autonomy is the same. The trunk volume decreased from 480 litres to 370 litres. At this model the weight is equaly divided between the two decks.
After seeing these features we can say that BMW electric cars are meeting the BMW standards.
